In the past few years I’ve been highly aware that yes I am a millennial. I think it started with the whole gen Z hates skinny jeans thing and then from there it just felt like everywhere I turned I was reminded that being a millennial was cringe. That getting older was something to pity and that the front tuck is just so embarrassing. I saw a reels the other day that said matching your outfit was cringe. Matching! I think that was the end of my very frayed rope because you know what? I’ve reached a point where I simply don’t care. I like being a millennial, I like being 40, I like wearing what I want to wear whether it’s deemed ‘cringe’ or not. And this outfit has all of those possibly ‘cringe’ things — a front tucked graphic sweatshirt, wide leg cropped pants and a low cut sock complete with a trendy sneaker with a crossbody bag. Oh AND it completely matches, head to toe. I am full millennial mom and I love it.
Turns out I love the Collette Pants from Anthro. How very millennial of me 😉 I have rented them in my Nuuly multiple times (this month included) and I ended up purchasing these from Anthro the other day. In fact, I tried this entire outfit on in the dressing room and I just knew this was coming home with me. I love this striped pair for spring, as well. This fabric is stretchy and lightweight, so definitely more for warmer temps this spring! You can find this pair of Collette’s here! (I’m in the 29, true to size for me!)
My sweatshirt is also Anthropologie and it runs big! This is the medium and it’s very roomy in here. It’s so soft on the inside that I don’t want to wash it. You know the type. You can find it here!
Oh and I updated my Sambas with these black ones! Black for spring seems hella risky. I may live to regret this choice, but I love the look of them — they are even sportier than the white sambas and I like that look. You can find them here!
