This outfit feels like it should have been featured in October but guess what? We’ve got October temps in December, so this outfit is perfect for right now. In fact, I like that it’s a bit of a break from a typical holiday look while still feeling festive. And it’s on sale during Saks Friends and Family event — it’s 25% off so this Johnny Was dress ends up being under $150! It’s so comfortable too, it’s a stretchy knit and you’d never know. I’m in the medium, fit is slightly looser / generous so I like this fit for me. Stay TTS for a typical fit, or go down a size for a closer fit like shown here.
I, for one, can say I’m very glad we’ve all silently agreed that knee high or tall boots are always in style. I feel like when the ‘death of skinny jeans’ was such a hot topic our collective brains also included OTK boots, because what goes best with skinny jeans in the winter? A tall boot. But to be honest, tall boots are classic and always in and you DO need a skinny jean for this look. Skinny jeans aren’t dead, just reconfigured in our wardrobe. In fact, I busted some out last week in the mountains. Tall boots will always be my go-to choice for dresses in the winter as well. This look was begging for a pair of tall boots and I found this gorgeous suede pair also from Saks. Go up a size though! They run snug at the toe. Find them here.
