I don’t want to jinx anything but…I think it’s finally autumn weather here. Only 2 months late or as Texas likes to say — right on time. With that comes layers, and tall boots and dark autumn hues and I decided to go with all the things in this outfit. Might as well, you know? Just in case the season decides to leave again.
This sweater dress is begging for a Thanksgiving dinner, preferably one made by someone else. She’s soft (not itchy) warm (not too warm) and has plenty of wiggle room with zero clinging. I mean it was MADE for this holiday. I love playing into the colors of the holiday and I don’t feel like Thanksgiving gets enough credit as a holiday. It gets skipped over by Christmas and so I personally will be Thanksgiving dressing for the entire month of November. (“Dressing” as in my outfits, not the holiday food. Just to clarify.)
I am in the large of the dress and I appreciate this size. It’s perhaps a touch big but overall I love the length of the large and that — like I said — no clinging. This dress does however come in other neutrals as well and it’s well under $100! You can find it via Nordstrom here.
I wanted to pair this dress with a complementing hue, in fact I wanted to pair it with my chocolate brown coat but it’s a bit soon for that combination. So I found this complementing blazer and let me tell you — they are a match made in Autumn. I am in the medium of the blazer — it runs oversized, so the medium fits great. (I realized this is tossed on my shoulders so you can’t quite see the fit. When the blazer is on, even with the bulkier dress it fits normally. Oversized fit so if in between sizes go down a size for a more tailored fit in the shoulders.) Find the blazer here!
I swear I manifested these boots. I do not know where they came from or which year, which is weird because I mentally catalog everything and when my memory fails, my order history at Nordstrom usually reminds me. I was looking for some boots to wear with this look and I thought I was going to have to buy some. Lo and behold, as I went through the very back of my very dark closet I found these! They were exactly what I was looking for. So the question begs — did I buy these a few years ago, tucked them away and forgot about them? Or did they materialize out of my own manifestation? We may never know. E-book on manifestation coming soon.
