It took me a few season but I’ve come around to wide leg jeans as a staple in my closet and you know what? I actually love them. I’m still very into high rise denim but a wide leg jean or trouser? I can definitely get behind. Or actually get in to.

And there is one pair that I love the most: the J.Crew Wide Leg Trouser. It’s my favorite and I didn’t realize this until I counted how many pairs I have. Dare I count them here? Oh sure why not. You already know my deal. I have an off white pair, I have a dark denim pair, a mid-blue, a lighter blue, a brown cord and the new lower rise pair. That’s about 3 too many but I didn’t actually realized I was a collector of this style until I started cleaning up my closet (for the pre-loved sale coming next week!) And I realize why I love this style so much – -the wide leg isn’t too wide, you can pair them with heels or sneakers and I love the high rise fit. They have a nice weight to them and a hint of stretch. They’re extremely comfortable and extremely easy to wear. I wear the 30 regular length and they fit perfectly with a bit of a generous fit overall.

And if you want to see all of the options, find the J.Crew denim trouser collection here.

I wore this outfit to travel in and they were so comfortable. I brought a cardigan for the plane (and my shirt is a bit sheer close up so it added some coverage too.) but these jeans travel really well and were really comfortable. You can see my shoe swap here. But I ended up loving this outfit so much I wanted to shoot it for the blog. This top is so gorgeous, I picked it up from Mango last week. It runs a bit shorter (as seen on the model) but oddly works just fine with high rise denim. I am in the 8. Find it here!
