Let’s talk about ankle socks: I debated on adding ankle socks to this look and ultimately decided no. I have such complicated feelings with the ankle socks look — I don’t hate them per se, but I don’t know if we are friends yet. I wear ankle socks many times with my workout looks, as I’m trying to immerse myself into this trend and the gym is the easiest way to try this look out. But with this outfit…something just looked…off. I wish I could show you both to get your vote, but I left the socks at home when we shot this outfit. What do you think? Add in a sock or leave the ankle bare? The millennial in me loves the bare ankle, but I’m trying to expand. I’m trying to teach this old blog new tricks, you know?

I really like this leopard mini skirt and I am (not) surprisingly loving all of the leopard print this fall. It’s such a fun print and trend, it’s actually a trend I’ve always worn. For me it’s a really fun take on neutrals and gives any outfit a boost. I am in the large of this Reformation skirt, it runs TTS for ref! Find it here.

(PS: Abercrombie has a similar look here!)

This skirt really is more of a dressed up vibe, but I wanted to see if I could get away with a bit of a casual look. The loose sweatshirt is just so comfortable — like wearing a big tee shirt but it looks so much nicer. I am usually an equal opportunity shirt tucker, but this look felt best all loose. This sweatshirt is Alex Mill ( a really nice basics brand if you aren’t familiar!) and it runs very relaxed. Super comfortable and really high quality. You can find it from Nordstrom here!

If you like this look, I found two pieces at lower price points that you can recreate for this look:

Fit Details

I am in the large of the sweatshirt, fit is generous. I am in the large of the skirt, if you need length size up one! Otherwise TTS for reformation. The Sambas run TTS.

Each month I create monthly capsules out of my favorite pieces, perfectly curated for each month.
