Okay so as it turns out since my last post — I AM a hat lady. It’s been settled. Two in one week seals the deal. This case has been closed.

There is something about these trousers that just whispers ‘wear me with sneakers’ and so I listen. If your pants whisper to you, you listen. (As you can see  it’s the only way I’ve styled them.)  All that to say I will be ignoring the whispers next time and go for a heel or a different flat, but for now I gotta say – I love the sneakers and trouser mix. These trousers are so damn flattering and comfortable. Now I will say — they wrinkle. If you sit, they’ll wrinkle in the sit crease. If you don’t know what the sit crease is, buy these pants, steam them out, sit down for an hour, get up, go to a mirror and look at the front of the pants. That’s the sit crease.

This pair runs big, to be honest. You could easily size down if you are in between sizes. I’m in the large but would probably enjoy the medium but I’m too lazy to exchange them at this point. This is hands down my favorite pair of wide leg trousers I’ve found. If you have a rounder waist / hips and trousers are a hard find for you — this pair is the one. You can find them from Anthropologie here!

I love this little sweater vest from Madewell. It’s so soft and stretchy and it’s not too heavy. Yes it’s more sweater like but it isn’t too hot to wear right now! I am in the large and like this size. It’s more fitted, so the large is perfect. Find it on Madewell here OR at Nordstrom with a bit more stock in sizes.
