I am trying to reframe my perspective and my language around all of these rebounding trends from our youth. Okay, see? That’s what I mean — I should have just said the resurgence of beloved 00s trends. Because I’ve realized I have two choices: I can stick in my millennial mindset of yore or I can put my low rise jeans on and get with the times. I’ve decided to do a mix of both, actually, to have a better attitude of the current trends, new and old. One of those trends is the leopard print trend, one that I at first turned up my little snotty nose to. And then this pair of Reformation pants got me right in my feels. I had a pair of pants like this so similar from a store called 5-7-9 back in 1999. My friend and I shared them until ultimately they stayed with her because I’m pretty sure she bought them and I enforced the ‘let’s share them!’ rule.

It got me thinking about the first time I saw this trend in 1997. It was a gap mini backpack covered in this leopard print and I was obsessed. I NEEDED this bag. And I was reminded of how others are seeing this trend of the first time and may just have those same feelings. I took that POV and found some of the cutest pieces for this trend, that I might just be as excited about as that little Gap backpack from ’97.

What are your thoughts on this trend? Let me know!
