I can’t tell if the blue toenail polish peeking out from the holes in my shoes is cute or odd. I suppose at the very least it’s quirky. These Madewell flats have kind of been buried under my sandals this summer, as I’ve not had any interest in anything other than a slide-on sandal. But as I do, I’ve seasonally moved on from the shoes I’ve been low-key obsessed with all summer and I now want flats, wedges or sneakers. (I’m also eyeballing my boots from afar, rubbing my grubby hands together, waiting for the day it turns cool.) I’m very interested in the mesh ballet flats trend which I think I’ll try my hand at sooner or later but this is a nice cross between a mesh flat and a regular ballet flat. The shoe is leather and woven, like mesh in a way, so it’s nice and airy for a leather flat. I find that they run TTS and are very comfortable. Sometimes the top strap gets a little tight, if your feet swell from heat or anything, but other than that no edits, no notes.

You can find them from Madewell here!

This top from Abercrombie is giving me such Jackie O vibes. This outfit is real class act…until we get to my cut off shorts. But that’s okay, hey keep your eyes up here, let’s talk about this top! I liked this linen dress so much that I gave Abercrombie another chance and ordered some more items. This sweater-ish top was one of those items and I really love it. I say sweater-ish because it’s that tightly woven knit, fairly thick but not hot with a bit of bounce and stretch. Nice for fall and spring, especially and for right now it might just have to do. This top comes in a few color ways as well if you like this look.

I’m in the large and fit is perfect for me (well a bit tighter in the chest but I’ve got other things to worry about you know?). I would say AF runs a tad snug in most things, so keep that in mind while ordering.

Find it here well under $75!

One note: Now I shared this top on IG and someone shared with me that they didn’t like the way AF sweaters washed out after a wear. I am going to give this one a wear and a wash and let you know. I will say I am incredibly dramatic with my laundry so this top will go in a laundry bag, on delicate cold wash. I’ll report back to you next time I wear it. I know you’ll be on pins and needles until then.

Another side note! I picked this secondhand LV bag up in 2021 and while I don’t carry it a ton, I love it and love the vintage feel. It’s not a shape I see a lot, so I like that it feels very unique. If you’ve ever thought about second hand luxury bags, I highly recommend Fashionphile — that’s where I found this one and my YSL crossbody. Both were under $800 and in incredible shape. (This one didn’t come with a certificate of authenticity or a dust bag, but those items aren’t too important for me.) Just thought I’d share!
