This dress just almost got sent back until I realized I was looking at it all wrong. I put it on at the beach one day and just felt shapeless and frumpy. When I got home, I was ready to return it but I thought I’d give it another try. I realized this isn’t the dress you want to wear when you’re all tan, feeling good about yourself. No, this is that summer dress to wear when you are hot and swollen and you don’t really want to put clothes on. Right dress, wrong time. Because this dress is lightweight cotton (with a lightweight liner underneath as you can see!) and it’s all I want to wear in this heatwave. It feels like nothing and it doesn’t touch me in any way. And it has pockets. AND I could just almost get away with my regular bra instead of a strapless bra. Do you see in the above photo how you can just barely see the sides of my bra? I’m counting it because in person it was even less noticeable. The perfect dress may very well exist.
