Loose fit? Lightweight cotton? The perfect sleeve length? SAY LESS. I would buy this dress in every color except orange. It’s so comfortable and yes, it is quite tent like but that’s never stopped me now has it. Some of my favorite dresses are basically potato sacks — I mean that in the nicest, most fashionable way. But sometimes I find that retailers tuck this style away for a few seasons, so I was very glad when I saw this one at Madewell. I love a long sleeve or half sleeve option for a dress as well. My tummy and arms are often times body parts that I want to cover more for one reason or another. This dress understood the assignment and gets an A+.

I am in the 8, it runs a bit generous. I would say if you’re in between sizes go down one size. I am in between an 8 and 10 right now and the 8 fits perfectly, with lots of room! Find it from Madewell here under $150.
Side note — I kind of forgot about these flats! Why and how does one forget about a whole shoe? Well I’m so glad you asked. Because one day when I was picking up around the house I quickly tossed this pair of shoes into the blanket basket and then completely forgot about them for about a month or two. That’s real. So the other day I pulled out a blanket and out tumbled these flats. I immediately put them on. Can’t make this shit up, my friends. I also find that this pair of flats will come in hand this fall, when it’s not quite cool enough for actually seasonally appropriate shoes (I’m looking desperately at you, Tall Boots.) You can find them at Madewell as well! As far as fit, I wear the 10, could probably wear a 10.5 as well. They’re slightly short but not a whole half size small.
PS: my crossbody is on sale at the NSALE! It’s a nice alternative to the Clare V. crossbody if you need a bigger strap and it’s a lesser price point, too. Find it on sale here!
