After much thought — possibly too much thought? — I’ve come to the conclusion of which shoes I love and keep from the Nordstrom sale. I know, I know. You’ve been on *pins and needles* for this decision and it’s finally here; I can hear the collective sigh. We can all sleep well tonight.
Okay but for real — I’ve put a lot of thought into this and I’m ready to present my dissertation for What Shoes I’m Keeping from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Let’s go:
Vince Camuto Knee High Boots
In a word: yes. First off, it’s a good price and not an inflated to deflate price. What I mean by that is I checked the price of the other Vince Camuto boots and most of the tall boots are $230 and on sale this pair is $150, so it’s a solid $80 off. Secondly, this is actually a pair I will wear this fall for a few reasons. The fit — I got the wide calf to have extra room for some room to breathe and I like when boots have a gap. I find it to be more comfortable as well. And the color — this dark chocolate hue is going to be big this fall and it will go with everything cognac will go with. I can envision these with dresses, over jeans, etc this fall. They fit TTS and I prefer the wide calf fit.
It’s going to be a knee high boot fall and winter, my girlies. Be prepared.

Dolce Vita Ballet Flats
This was a pair that I did not have on my NSALE bingo card at all. I didn’t really even notice it online, but when I was in store…I beelined for these puppies. They are so soft and easy to wear, very comfortable. Someone asked if I can slip them on and off easily without adjusting the straps and yes I can. That’s the only way I’ve put them on / off to be honest. They fit TTS and so far no rubbing on the back of my ankle, etc.

Vince Pia Wedges
This pair of wedges I wavered on but finally took the plunge. I have a lot of that beige leather color in heels / flats, as I tend to like this color the most. It’s the most flattering to my skin tone and they go with most everything I wear. But as I said, I have a lot of that tone of leather and not a lot of other brown heels. So I took a chance on this pair and let me say — they are gorgeous. The leather is soft, the heel is an easy height and they will go well with trousers this fall.
Side note, I went with the brown over the black because I have a similar black heel like this and don’t necessarily have a need for a black heel. But I do support this style in black as well! It just depends on what your closet needs.
Nordstrom Mary Jane Flat
This little Mary Jane flat is almost sold out in the red, but available in a lot of neutral hues. This leather isn’t quite as smooth or soft as the Dolce Vita one, but it is still a nice leather but with more structure. What I like the most about this shoe is the…color. You guessed it. It’s a nice poppy orange-red, very reminiscent of my starting days, which I know good and well goes with a lot of looks. I’ve actually been looking for a shoe that is close to that original red heel I used to wear and this one is pretty darn close.
This pair does run TTS and is under $50!

Marc Fisher Platform Heels
I kinda got talked into these in store — surprise, I’m an easy sell — but I’m so glad I did! I love these platform sandals because they are so damn comfortable. Not something you say a lot about platform heels, but this pair has the right width of heel / base for the height. They also don’t feel *too* platform heels, like costume-y, they just look like a high heel. They fit true to size!

On CloudMonster Sneakers
Last but not least, the CloudMonsters. This is my first pair of On sneakers and I really like them. My husband runs more miles a week than I drive sometimes and so this brand came highly recommend to me from him. And I completely agree — I’m not a runner but I am a walker and this pair feels like walking on air. The first week of working out in them I had a blister on one ankle from the back tab rubbing but I switched to an ankle sock (thanks gen z!) and problem solved for me. I found that they run true to size, I wear a 10 in Nike and this pair is also a size 10.
Now it does make me feel a certain way that the color option I chose is the only one left in full sizes…but I kinda like the red white and blue colors. Makes me feel like an Olympian while I’m walking 3.0 on the treadmill.
