I think I said this in last week’s post but this is the time of the summer that I start reaching for something other than my tried-and-true denim shorts. (I actually didn’t realize how much I wear denim shorts until my WIWLW posts!) This summer it happens to be dresses; loose, lightweight, comfortable dresses. This one from Abercrombie is a clear winner — it’s a linen blend with lining, the sleeves are loose and not too tight (my number one ick in summer) and the bodice gives shape without being constricting. It does have a slightly more hourglass shape, it tapers in a bit around the waist then flares just a touch out at the pockets / hips. Oh and yes, there are pockets! I wear the large and really like the fit. It’s loose enough but still tailored. I would say if you’re usually a large in Abercrombie, stay in that size. With AF, if I’m in between sizes, I go up one size.
You can find this dress here!
PS: my sunglasses are from 2022 (J.Crew). I found them while cleaning out a purse the other day for the resale shop and realized how on trend they are for this summer! I couldn’t find any at J.Crew this season like this, but I’ve linked a very similar pair from Amazon here.
