Let’s address the elephant in the room that is the hundreds of wrinkles on my dress. I am out of habit with traveling and packing and I forgot to pack my steamer. I remembered it about 10 miles from our house, but c’est la vie. I did run an iron over it but then immediately sat and voila. So on one hand my brain is like “oh no! the photos!” but on the other, this dress wrinkles as you can see, so now you know. Thank you for accepting me at my wrinkles. (This is good practice for when I’m still blogging at age 80.)
I’ve loved this bold blue for summer and when we decided on a beach vacation I immediately thought of this dress I had seen at Madewell. Luckily it was still in stock (the black is almost sold out! But the beige is also in full stock!) The fit is spot on for linen and the fabric has a lovely drape to it and a slight sheen. It’s a really enjoyable dress to wear, I know that sounds weird but it was so lightweight and easy to wear.
