Fair Isle Sweater

I told Gemma today ‘Happy Thanksgiving Eve!’ today and she paused then said ‘is that a real thing?’ It’s not. She’s already called my bluff. So young, yet so wise. It is not a thing or a holiday but Happy Thanksgiving Eve, my friends. May you sleep well tonight knowing you will do nothing but eat all day tomorrow.

I’ve got a Madewell round up coming up for Black Friday because it’s 40% off right now, but for now I’m going to focus on her older sister, J.Crew. This whole outfit is J.Crew and …well of course it is. Do you guys remember when J.Crew took a hard left for a few years? I know, I know — those are dark times. But I feel like every time now that I look at their collection, I love it all. Especially the coats, God I love their coats. The one is no exception — she’s gorgeous. I feel blessed that I own her. Is that dramatic? Yeah, but it sure is true. I am in the 10 and I love the fit — it’s a bit looser than I was expecting because I’m a pretty true 10 in their coats but this one has some wiggle room. I would say if you are in between sizes, go down a size. But for me, even with a thicker sweater, I’m able to fit in this coat easily. You can find it on sale this week here!

This sweater is kind of a swerve for me, I didn’t know if I hated it or loved it. It’s slightly different than what I’ve been drawn to lately but in the best way. It’s kind of folksy, but I loved how it blended so well with the coat, too. So the verdict is in and I love it. It’s a wee bit itchy because of the wool so I put a tee underneath and it was perfect.
