Ya’ll I Bought Teva’s

Is that the best title for this post? Personally, yes. For SEO reasons, absolutely not. But whatever, it’s not like I’m trying to be a professional blogger or anything.

So I’ve been loving the ugly sandals with the pretty dresses trend I’ve been seeing for a few seasons now. But you know, it takes me a second to decide if it’s for me or not. In fact, this is not the first pair of Teva sandals I own but definitely the first time you are seeing them here. I actually have this exact pair in black that I bought back in…I wanna say 2020? 2021? IDK somewhere around there not that it matters why am I telling you this my god get it together kendi. But the black sandal with the platform — it’s a heavy look for dresses. It just is. Black sandals will forever way down an outfit, I’m sorry I said it and I mean it. A neutral or a pop of color will serve you better than a chunky black shoe. So when I saw this…fleshy color I was like that’s it. That’s the one! And guess what? I was right. I needed a lighter hue to get just the right look I was going for. Ugly sandal? Meet pretty dress. You are roommates now.

For the record, yes the Teva’s are SO comfy. I went for a walk in them to the park the other night with G and they held up great and didn’t start rubbing until after about an hour of straight walking. (I loosened the band and it was better.) If you love a comfortable sandal for summer, she’s your girl. Also available in non-platforms but let’s be honest — that was never gonna be for me. 😉 Find them here!

This dress is gorgeous, you guys. It is however slightly backless so I just paired my nude bandeau with it and didn’t really care past that. I think it works, but if you are able to go braless, then that would be the *best* look. I am in the large of the dress because it doesn’t have any stretch (it’s linen) and I need stretch for my boobs. You can find it in two hues here at Nordstrom!
