Happy Friday, my friends! We have been making changes around our house recently and while I fully plan on showing you every update, here is a little sneak peek into our bedroom! At the end of February we had hardwoods installed in our bedroom and sunroom and it has made a huge difference in the rooms. Everything seems more open, clean and modern. I ended up switching out our bedding and a few mirrors as well, but overall of our furniture and the layout stayed the same in the bedroom. It’s crazy what a little change can do for a room. The main reason we wanted to get wood floors in the rest of our house was so that we could be able to shoot more inside, something we realized last year. The best light in our house was also in the carpet rooms, so it was something we wanted to work towards. Oh and also our carpet was kind of disgusting after 6 years of two garbage people who wear their shoes in the house, two dogs and a toddler.  Hopefully you like inside photo shoots as well as our downtown photo shoots. 🙂
I love this striped sweatshirt from Madewell! At first I was like — is this too much color? Because you know, I’m trying to be super intentional with color lately. But after getting it in the mail and putting it on, I was sold. It’s big, soft and perfect weight for spring. Especially right now when the days can’t decide if they want to be warm or cold. And no, it’s not too much color. It’s just right. Also does this not feel very 1995? I feel like this sweatshirt has heavy 90s vibes and I kind of love it. Find it here!Â
My white jeans are also from Madewell, surprise surprise right? I do like their white jeans and I do recommend these IF you a) like Madewell and b) prefer a high rise. They’re not sheer but they are pretty fitted. You know what I mean? Sometimes white jeans fit tighter than blue jeans and I would like to know why. The high rise is a 10″ and it means it. I would say true to size but they will be more fitted at first and will stretch with wear. Find them here!
I also found you an under $50 option that’s high rise from Levi’s here. I am a 28 in this style of Levi’s as well.
What’s that? You hate high rise? No problem! Here is another well priced pair with a mid-rise! They run true to size from my experience with this style. Find them here.
One last thing — if you are looking for a One and Done sandal for spring / summer, may I humbly suggest this one! I have had them for about a week and I’ve loved them so far. No rubbing or blisters. You can size down a half size if you’re in between sizes. Find them here!
