I made a joke on IG about wearing so much leopard lately I might as well change my blog to Kitty Everyday. I mean, why not? Leopard is slowly taking over my closet so might as well give in.
Should I mention I’m fully allergic to cats? No, you’re right — irrelevant.
I picked up this leopard print dress for TWENTY DOLLARS the other day when I was actually not even shopping for clothes. Big surprise there. Did I tell you that Gemma now thinks that *everything* comes from Target? I mean she’s not wrong. So when we run out of milk or something of the like she yells ‘TAR-GET’. Closely followed by the sweetest voice and face saying with two syllables “toy-sss?” I get it because my brain has switched from toys? To clothes? It’s the exact same sing-song voice as Gemma uses, too. Turns out we don’t grow up, we just get older, you know?
So I ended up grabbing this dress on a whim and I grabbed the large because the medium wasn’t available. Turns out THANK GOD I grabbed the large or this dress would be a top. It’s a bit short and the large has a bit more length for me. It’s a free bodice in a babydoll silhouette so the idea of ‘fits true to size’ is a loose idea here. It doesn’t touch my body except at my arms, so I would say ‘sure’ it fits true to size because it doesn’t really have a fit. I would suggest your TTS unless you need more length, then size up for a bit more length. (I am 5’9”, I would say anyone over 5’8” would benefit from a size up!)
I had a lot of comments about this suede jacket on Instagram. This is a BlankNYC classic — I got it in 2016 and it’s still giving me life, 3 years later. It is suede, not faux, I can link a faux one as well. I sized up in 2016 to a large but I would say stay true to size. This fits like a large. (I have broader shoulders so I like a looser fit with jackets!) I did remove the belt that is included with this and then inconsequently lost said belt. So there will be no belt with this jacket when I wear it again. You can do the same, too. We can be beltless jacket twins.
