Summer Remix: Linen Pants

If you were looking at my remix pieces for this summer, these pants might have been a surprise to you. Well they were a surprise to me, too. I ordered these pants on a whim last month from Bloomingdale’s (they were having a 25% off sale!) along with this top that I’ve been loving lately. I tried to stay neutral to these because I knew EXACTLY how I wanted them to fit but linen can be a tricky material with the fit, so I had zero expectations. The minute they came in I tried them on and it was INSTANT love. They are a straight leg cut but they are super flattering and the fit is perfect. Because the material is a linen-blend they are super soft but they have that relaxed linen feel, absolutely perfect for summer. If you are looking for a lightweight replacement for your denim this summer, this pair of pants might just be it. (I would suggest a size down if you’re in between sizes!)

The thing I love about a straight cut pair of pants is that they look timeless and tailored. This silhouette is always in and wears well with all kinds of tops. I paired these with this eyelet blouse for a cute everyday look (technically this outfit was for a date night) but this outfit could easily be worn to the office, especially if you toss a blazer over it, like this one here! I’ve picked a few other tops from NYDJ that would work well with these linen pants below.
