You would think that after 9 years of blogging, I’d get tired of certain trends. And while yes, some trends have come and gone and hopefully to never return (rainbow jeans), there are some trends that keep coming around year after year. One of those biggest trends for spring is floral. If you’ve invested in any type of floral in the best 5 years, I can guarantee you that floral still looks en vogue today. That’s what I love about florals for spring. They are classic, timeless prints that you can bring back season over season.
I think the important thing to keep in mind when you’re buying and wearing this trend, is to keep your florals classic. By that I mean, think about what works best with your wardrobe and what can mix and match into the rest of your closet. I tend to go for lighter, brighter florals instead of loud, bold florals (but you can’t go wrong with either, it’s just preference!) I find that I personally feel most comfortable in pastels in the spring, plus they go really well with denim or white jeans. Florals and denim are a no-brainer these days, right? You can never go wrong with a nice denim and a floral top. I mean is it even spring if you’re not pairing those two together??
In fact, I paired this romantic floral blouse with a pair of denim, both from White House Black Market. You can find this blouse here and this pair of denim here. This blouse needs a shout-out because it comes with a built-in camsiole! So it’s truly a one and done kind of top. That’s actually what I like about White House Black Market, they really try to think their styles through with little details like a built in camisole of the same fabric. (I found that the camisole was more fitted than the top, so size up if you have a bigger chest. But otherwise, it fits true to size!)You can find the top here. I’m in the size 8 of the denim and it fits well! They are true to size and this pair fits a bit more like a mid-rise for me, but I have a long torso. You can find them here!
