Bryan told me mid-shoot that my shirt was complicated. He isn’t wrong. It’s knotted and tied on each shoulder and speaking of shoulders, both are just hanging out there in the open. It’s not a traditional blouse, to say the least, and usually, I’m not a huge fan of open or cold shoulder tops. But this one Joie top just caught my attention and rightfully so. I told Bryan, ‘it’s not complicated, it’s dramatic.‘ I’ve also said that about myself before. He knows not to push it after that statement.
Seriously though, why is it that sometimes the right piece comes along and it makes you want to break all of your style rules? I’ve been into greys and simple this past spring and BOOM this firework of a top comes into my life and now I’m all about color. Maybe it’s the start of summer but I’m glad for a little shake-up. Thoughts on cold shoulder blouses? I’m always curious as to what others think about trends that I’m always a little on the fence about.
Okay, so we need to talk about these shorts. They are from LOFT and they are so so cute. True story I was walking out of a restaurant at a shopping center the other night and a lady looked at me and said ‘are those from LOFT?’ I looked down not remembering what I was wearing and said yes! and she goes ‘I knew I should have bought those. I’m going back in.’ And she walked right back into the LOFT. I’m telling you, they are cute in photos but they are even better in person. You can find these shorts here! My fit info is below.
