So a new favorite of mine, Everlane, reached out and asked if I wanted to try out and review one of their new day dresses and I said absolutely! I chose the Mini Tank Wrap Dress. My thoughts below!

First things first: how is the fit of the dress? The fit is good! Iā€™m in the 8, about my regular size. Iā€™d say itā€™s probably supposed to fit a tad bit looser than shown here by judging the fit on the model but I actually loved how this fit my body. Itā€™s a bit more fitted in the arm space but itā€™s not tight. Again, Iā€™m on the top of the size 8 range so I would say itā€™s not a tight true to size. I didnā€™t find it too short and could sit without it splitting open too much. (Thereā€™s always a little bit of split with a wrap dress.) Included in their full collection, they also have a longer version of this dress! You can find it here.Ā

There is a tie in the interior of the wrap of this dress and you have to kind of tie it in a flat know so it doesnā€™t show through the fabric. The ties feel quite long but I wrapped them twice before tying them into a side bow. It made the dress feel really secure and not like it would blow to the side if the wind picked up. No peep show here. Speaking of peeping, the dress is thick enough it doesn’t need a slip. It’s not sheer at all!

I was surprised how much I liked this dress, to be honest. But the fabric is soft and keeps its shape. I steamed the dress before I wore it and it got a little bit creased in the car, but it stayed pretty crisp throughout the day. I feel like it can be dressed up or down with a quick change of shoes and/ accessories. I love this pale pink hue but it also comes in black and blue!Ā

One note: this dress may be more geared to a smaller chest body type than mine is. I didnā€™t realize it until later but you could see the top of my strapless bra in a few of the photos. Iā€™ll probably put a lace bandeau over my bra next time I wear this just to hide the bra a bit more. Itā€™s pretty low cut, so again if this is a deterrent for you, a camisole or a little bit of lace underneath will work perfectly.Ā  Iā€™m a d-cup if that helps and I’m wearing a ThirdLove 24/7 strapless bra with this dress!

Would this work for nursing? It would! My only thought is what kind of bra youā€™d like you to wear with this dress. I found a strapless bra worked best but if you wore a cardigan to cover the straps, a normal or nursing bra would work!

You can see their other day dresses in the full collection: Everlane $100 Wrap Dress collection. Also TODAY ONLY they are offering free 2-day shipping so that you can get this dress in time for Memorial Day weekend! They NEVER have shipping promos or sales so this is exciting! Free shipping is music to my ears.

  1. Love these review posts! I was actually looking to get some more info on sizing for these wrap dresses (and Everlane stuff, in general) and couldn’t find much. I ended up sizing up in the longer version thinking it might help accommodate my breastfeeding boobs, so… we’ll see!

The mini in blush looks gorgeous on you!

    1. I think that’s actually pretty smart since you are breastfeeding! You’ll like the extra give and I think you’ll feel more covered! Let me know how it goes!!

  2. Do you find it to be staticky at all? That’s the thing I worry about with Everlane’s lightweight GoWeave fabric and why I didn’t order their first GoWeave dress even though I love how it looks. The climate I live in is so dry!

    1. Yeah, it’s a little staticky. But it’s pretty thick so it’s not a thin static look. If that even makes sense lol. A slip would stop that if it annoyed me enough!

  3. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the tank version of the wrap dress – I ordered the sleeved version, and it was much too large in the armpits which led to the dress shifting a lot. I may give the tank version a shot once my exchange is complete!

    1. Oh interesting! I want to hear if you try this one! I felt like the arms were a tiny bit tighter but I have a larger chest and my arms aren’t the thinnest part of my body, so usually arm holes are tighter! I want to hear how the tank dress fits on you compared to the sleeved one!

    1. Yes but up until like 7-8 months. I’m going based on my bump which was huge by month 8! Baha. It would also be forgiving post partum!
