Little Red Dress

Do you ever see something online and it just won’t leave you alone? ( I don’t mean Facebook ads that follow your unspoken thoughts, although we should discuss that creepiness another time.) I mean something you see and think “that looks nothing like me…so why do I like it so much?” That was this red dress. Even when I got it in the mail and opened it, Bryan gave me the side eye and said: “did you order this?” I told him no and that the damn online bandit had hit us again and to expect MORE packages later. We’ve got to figure out who is ordering all of these clothes in my size. Definitely a case for the FBI.

Okay, I’m exaggerating obviously but this was the dress that I kept coming back to on ASOS. (Although Bryan really did question who ordered this lol.) There was just SOMETHING about this dress. I randomly frequent ASOS and this was the thing I had my eye on. It was red and flirty and I don’t know there was just something about it that I loved. Plus I always feel like I can take a chance on ASOS since they have free returns. But I loved the fit once I tried it on. Felt like the red dress emoji lady, which is always the high I’m looking for. It just goes to show that sometimes you just know what you like, even if you don’t.

I bought this bag last spring and kind of tucked it away after summer. Of course last summer I had a lot going on (hint: baby was on the way) and so purses weren’t number one on my list. But the other day I was cleaning up my closet — you noticed I said UP and not OUT. So messy, so garbage. But I was cleaning up my closet and this little guy was tucked into a tote and it was like finding cash in a coat pocket! I was so excited to find this new to me again bag. It’s from Shopbop last year and they don’t even carry the brand any longer but I’ve found three VERY close dupes!
