10 Spring Closet Updates + Essentials

Since this week was the official welcoming of spring, I thought I’d share my 10 favorite spring updates for your closet! (And honestly mine, but things are a little crowded here for a bit.) Let me live vicariously through your closet, okay? 😉 Plus it’s Triple Points at Nordstrom now through March 26th meaning you can get rewards dollars 3x faster. I always wait for these days when I’m doing a big seasonal update or buying a purse or anything fancy! (Oh and you don’t have to be a card holder, you can just sign up for their rewards without anything credit related!) Triple points week falling on the same week as the first day of spring…coincidence? I think not.

I found my favorite go-to pieces for spring that I always find myself reaching for a few trends to look out for this spring. Spring Update #1: Easy Knit Dress

This is a dress I’m always reaching for on weekdays or weekends — with sneakers or heels. And on chillier days, I grab a denim jacket to toss over. Above I’ve linked a Soft Joie striped knit dress that — fingers crossed– still fits a bump! But I’ve found a few other striped and non-striped knit options below!

Spring update #2: White Blouse

But not just any old white blouse — a statement white blouse. From off the shoulder to big bell sleeves — a KE favorite, it’s a nice update from a simple white blouse of past seasons. I, of course, love this bell sleeve top under $100 but there are soo many good options below!

Spring Update #3: Everyday Tote

I have been reaching for a tote bag lately — something that I used to swear by for years! Totes are just the easiest to toss everything in, laptop, wallet, everything else. I’m excited to update my tote bag to this Saint Laurent version this spring, but also love a Tory Burch tote! Spring Update #4: Spring Statement Jeans

Do not adjust your screens — those are colored jeans you see. (I actually just bought the maternity version of these exact jeans! Yassss.) I am always a fan of white denim, but by now this is a staple we all have and love for spring and summer. So when I saw a pale pink ripped skinny jean — I was so excited for the update! I’ve linked a few other price points in the same blush pink below!

Spring Update #5: Distressed Denim Jacket

I picked up a distressed denim jacket last year thinking to myself “are denim jackets even cool still?” but after wearing that jacket to an almost death, I confirmed to myself that denim jackets are still alive and well. I’ve found a few lovely spring options below!

Spring Update #6: Spring Maxi Dress

I know I’m reaching for longer lengths this spring because of the baby bump, but I do love a floral or striped maxi dress for spring that can carry into the summer. (Denim jacket for spring, bare shoulders for summer.) This Joie floral maxi is what my spring dreams are made of and I’ve found a few more spring perfect options below.

Spring Update #7: Updated Little Black Dress

Every year or so I like to update my little black dress for the season. I love this off the shoulder version, no surprise there right? With all of the fun silhouettes these days, there is no excuse for having a boring black dress. Mix it up!

Spring Update #8: Espadrille Wedges

Hands down my very favorite shoe from last spring and summer. I wore them with basically every single outfit, I think. I have these exact Marc Fisher espadrilles, but I don’t know if you can go wrong with any type of espadrille this spring. A few others below!

Spring Update #9: Embroidered Top

I’ve been seeing this trend everywhere from dress to jeans to tops. I decided tops are the easiest to jump into with this trend and one of the most versatile! The top above is a favorite of mine, but I also love this Tory Burch tunic. (In fact, I’m wearing this today!) A few more embroidered options below.

Spring Update #10: White Slip-On Sneaks

White sneaker have been on fashion’s radar for a little while now, but I love this updated look of the classic slip-on. The perforated white sneaker is everywhere right now and you just can’t go wrong with this look.  Just be sure to stain guard 😉 I’ve linked a few below!
