One of my staples that I look for throughout the year is a little black dress. As much as one might think that LBD’s are easy to come by, it is actually quite tricky finding the perfect one. I have certain stipulations for an LBD — must be fitted but not too tight, inexpensive but not cheap looking, and comfortable but structured. That’s the LBD rubric I’ve come to live by. And lucky lucky I found it in this Topshop little black dress. It’s basically the perfect LBD, and it has sleeves which I love for this time of year. (Fit wise, this dress is true to size. The only thing I’d worry about would be length, but they have a petite version, too!) 2015 can now come to an end because I finally found the perfect little black dress. I know you’re going to sleep better knowing this.
Another discovery this year? When in doubt, add faux fur. Who says faux can’t be fancy? I also love this type of look for New Year’s, which always sneaks up on me because Christmas is such an attention hog. (I’m kidding. No shade being thrown towards the most wonderful time of the year.) I love the idea of feeling luxe and being comfortable. Classic is always my go to when I’m in a pinch for a holiday dress and this little black dress with a little faux fur is perfect for any occasion.
