How was everyone’s Halloween? I, sadly, dressed up as a sick girl in bed all weekend. It was an easy costume to throw together really; I just caught a stomach virus and then laid in pajamas with matted hair for three days. It was so cheap, too! My husband could not believe how scary I looked by day three. And while that is not the most recommended way to spend halloween, I didn’t mind. Watching Hocus Pocus on repeat in a comfy bed isn’t terrible, so I can’t complain.
But today I felt like a baby deer learning to walk as I was getting out of bed for the first time in a few days. Heels were a brave choice — but it had to be done. These heels looked best with my outfit and there is absolutely nothing like the feeling of finally looking human again after the stomach flu. I reached for this pretty sweater dress I found the other day at Nordstrom. I’ve been dreaming about wearing it and it’s finally chilly here enough for me to layer. All of my autumnal dreams are coming true. Just in time for winter.

Looking all lovely in this outfit! Sorry to hear that you’ve been sick, I’ve been fighting a nasty flu myself and know how it feels like to be all down and not festive for Halloween.

I love the color of this dress. It’s an underplayed color in the autumn that looks gorgeous! Sorry to hear you weren’t feeling well this weekend, but at least you got to snuggle in and take it easy while watching Hocus Pocus! Such a fun one.

We celebrated the same way! I’m on day four of the flu – woo hoo! Scary doesn’t even begin to touch it. Anyway, the color of this dress is just beautiful and it looks super comfy, too. Bonus. ?

It’s a bit short for my taste, but definitely love the styling here! And considering London, I would definitely need to wear tights… at the rate things are going, I will be able to build a snowman tomorrow!

Oh no, sorry to hear you’ve been unwell! 🙁 Never fun when you get sick.
On an outfit note, I really like that bag! I have the same one in grey, but I’ve always admired the black on black of this one 🙂
