It doesn’t matter how long I’ve been out of school, I still want to go back to school shopping. You can’t just embed something in a young girl’s mind and then take it away from her once she graduates. That would mean undoing years of shopping experience. That would be like me giving up my fading knowledge of basic math. It’s locked in there. August will always be back to school shopping, no matter how many school years its actually been.
Obviously since I’m not in school, I’m not buying for classes but I can still be inspired by traditional pieces. Back to school just gives me that traditional vibe, which makes me that much more excited for fall. Since you already know my current blazer game is strong, when I found this linen-esque one at Old Navy, I had to add it to the team. You can’t go wrong with a blazer and stripes year round but especially for fall. I may not be going back to school, but the tradition lives on.
