For me, animal print is a neutral. This skirt, for example, is just as easy to pair with a chambray shirt as if it wear a black or ivory skirt. See? Totally a neutral. I was immediately drawn to this skirt for it’s pattern (obviously) but quickly realized once it was in my closet that it’s actually quite versatile this season. I can see this skirt with an easy tee for next time or a cropped blouse. First and foremost though, I went with chambray. Chambray never fails.
(Side note: this chambray top I’m wearing is from Old Navy but I don’t see the short sleeve one online any longer. I linked a similar one from Old Navy below but found a short sleeve version from Madewell here.)

  2. Animal print is absolutely a neutral – no question about it 🙂 Honestly, I’m more likely to wear animal print than most colours! Strange but true. And I would definitely wear this skirt, it is absolutely gorgeous and you styled it just perfectly… as always.
