Say Yes to The Clutch

I know I can’t speak for everyone when I say I’m glad it is Friday but I, for one, am so glad the weekend is just 8 hours away. Actually I think I can speak for everyone when I say I’m glad it’s Friday. Who doesn’t like Friday anyways? That’s blasphemy.
I’ve been eyeing this clutch for a little while and decided to go ahead and snatch it up. One reason is because of the quintessential color combination of black and white (which pretty much goes with everything in my book), two because I’m always on the lookout for a statement clutch and three because it says ‘oui’. How can you say no to a clutch that says yes? Exactly.

  2. I see what you did with the title there. Nice. I'm loving this black and white look you've been wearing lately. It's classic! This top is amazing by the way. The second picture, where the wind is catching it, makes me want to wear this style top. I love clothes that can move without become immodest (that movement with a dress, not as good).

  17. I've been eyeing this top at Anthro and have yet to pull the trigger due to the varying comments on sizing and fit. It looks like it fits well on you – did you stay true to size, size up? Are the arms and bust area too tight? Thanks Kendi!

  18. It is true to size, I found. It's a little bit tight on the arms but not to where I don't have movement. Like I don't feel like I could Hulk out of it at any time. And the bust is okay on me! If you are more blessed in the chest, then perhaps size up just to have it more flowy. I hope this helps!!

  20. I just don't get clutches.. what am I missing? It feels like it would be hard in a regular day to keep track of it, or I feel like I'd get tired hanging on to it all day. How do you shop properly if one of your hands is constantly gripping onto a clutch? They are so cute, but I just don't see them being very practical. Maybe that's the point? 🙂

  40. For me it's not an everyday / throw everything in it and go kind of accessory. It's more of a statement piece. So I use a clutch if I'm going out or to an event , on a date, to a wedding, etc. Any place I don't want to take a full purse, or I want to look more elevated, then I take a clutch. I don't take a clutch shopping with me because exactly what you said — you've got your hands full and it's annoying. (Been there by mistake many times.) I use clutches as a fun accessory to add to an outfit, not necessarily as a function of a full, everyday purse. But I do like to have function so that's why I like ones that are pouches like this one.( I have a navy one and a leopard print one as well.) This style can actually fit a phone, my wallet, lipstick, etc. in it. Sometimes it's actually nice to have a clutch instead of a big bag because it's less to keep up with, but it just depends on the situation. And typically I carry it tucked under my arm which means I can easily hold a drink. Because that's the real test isn't it? 😉

    If you are new to clutches or want to try the idea out, I would say find one that has a strap and can double as a cross body first. That way if you find that you absolutely hate carrying a clutch around, it can still be a cross body and you can still have a use for the purse.
