A Weekend Away

I’m so excited to be able to finally share a few photos we took a few weeks back! B and I needed a little weekend away (much like this coming weekend) and we headed south to Lake Travis, near Austin. It was just what we needed.  A little time away, a little bit of sunshine and lots of bright colors. Lake Travis brought the sunshine, I brought the bright colors.
We strolled around Lake Travis and travelled into Austin for a day (had to get my coffee fix at Jo’s. If you’ve ever had their coffee, you understand the need.) Technically it wasn’t a tropical or beach vacation but that didn’t mean I couldn’t dress like it. I went full on Palm Springs vacationer at this place. One day it was a fun shorts to run around in, the next a sweet sundress that mixed in easily as a swimsuit cover up. But I think my favorite look from this trip are the palm tree print pixie pants. I told you — I went full on tourist in my own state. And I wouldn’t have had it any other way. 
Speaking of little getaways — any plans for this Memorial Day weekend? We are celebrating B’s birthday in Vegas for a day or two! That’s what happens when you turn 30 (er, 31?) — you get to celebrate your old age in style. Happy long weekend, friends!

    1. We stayed at Lakeaway Resort. It was fun! Kind of felt like i was out of Texas for a bit. I’ve also heard Travaasa in Austin is nice, so we want to try there next time.

  51. I love all three outfits, and especially the shoes in the third! I’m glad you guys got a weekend away. It’s so nice to get a break when you’re both so busy. Awesome! 🙂 and those pictures are amazing! The colors in the second to last one are perfection.
