I feel like if I had a duty where I was fancy all the time, then this would be my off duty look. Yes, most ‘off-duty’ looks do not include heels but right now it’s cool to mix joggers (fancy sweat pants) with heels and I can not argue with that logic. Although I could easily, and I did eventually, switch into little sneakers, I like that this look can do either work or errands. It’s a double duty outfit. (Oh yes, pun fully intended.)
In all seriousness, right now I do love the outfits that I can go from working up at the shop (details on opening coming this week, btw!!) to running errands or having meetings and not looking like a hot mess. Joggers are that key piece for me right now. As I can wear with heels and look put together with the right pieces or I wear a graphic t-shirt and sneaks for a street look. I will never fight fashion trends when they are comfortable, in fact I welcome them with open arms. What else can we make out of sweatshirt fabric, fashion world? Let’s get to work on this.

  1. Love this. I’m all about this jogger trend. Any excuse to wear pajama-like material to work is a good excuse for me! P.S. LOVE the jacket. Biker babe.

  2. Your post reminds me that I have a pair of similar fancy sweatpants that I haven’t worn yet. I felt both I and the world needed a little time to adjust to this new sweatpants-with-heels trend, but I guess we are both on board now. I wonder where I put them?!?

  3. you wore the joggers so darn well that you sold out this product on oldnavy.com! 🙂

  4. I like the -idea- of joggers but this heather gray color/pattern contrasted with the stretchy black ankle, I think, makes them look too much like pajamas. Maybe it’s different in the ‘fashion’ world but I would never wear this particular pair to work! But I would definitely wear some that were black or even a graphite grey if the ankle band was the same color.

  12. Ah, they also make blazers out of sweatshirt fabric. I do not find them attractive in any way (and they still have the inner PES layer…) but your pantsy sweats look good!
