I’ll have to make this quick as possible since I’m running about an hour behind this morning. How does this happen? Oh that’s right because I didn’t get up until an hour past I was supposed to. That’s how that happens. Time waits for no snooze button.
So pretty much today will consist of re-merchandising the whole store and getting ready for the party tonight and possibly a shower. Merchandising is my favorite thing about the store. I didn’t realize this when we opened, but that and buying (no surprise there) are my two favorite things. If you’ve never been to the store, basically I try to merchandise by color stories, so that everything makes sense to your eye as soon as you walk in. It’s like a huge mosaic puzzle to put together when I start, but I love a good challenge. My monthly routine for merchandising is very specific: iced coffee, a certain Taylor Swift Pandora channel and complete concentration. It’s a creative process, ok?
Also, it’s supposed to be 106 today. That shower just moved up on the priority list.

When I had to redo the floor, I’d come in extra early with my huge coffee, put on some smooth jazz and get to work.
