This weekend was kind of a blur. It was just one of those weekends (and weeks actually) that you stop for a second and try to remember what day it is. Weekends at the shop are usually crazy but this weekend was extra crazy for some reason. (Crazy is good in retail terms.) Then we visited my sister and my precious nephews yesterday for Easter. Today I woke up and I tried to convince myself that I’d run a marathon over the weekend and that’s why I was sore. Nope, just normal daily activities making me feel like I painted a house. So today I am not doing a darn thing. Except for the laundry that I’ve been putting off for two weeks (don’t be a Judge Judy, you know you do this, too) as well as the gym I’ve been putting off for weeks and a visit to the grocery store for something other than frozen pizza and wine. And I will do all of these things while wearing yoga pants with no intention of actually doing yoga because wearing dresses all weekend deserves yoga pants on a Monday.
All that to say the title of this post, my outfit and the content have little to do with one another. Except for the dress and the title — lots of stripes happening up there. That is my only nugget of wisdom today: stripes. Do with it what you will.

Stripes are my favorite. I need to stock up on some skirts like that for this summer out here. Oh, and I totally just did laundry today for the first time in two weeks. And the dishes. It’s pretty sad when you haven’t done dishes in so long that you actually run out of clean cups to use. Our sink is so deep, though, it’s amazing how many things can be crammed in it. I’m just trying to get to a personal best, is all.
You had me at yoga pants… totally relate and I usually have to work hard at figuring out my outfit for laundry day because no one does laundry in a LBD, since everything else is dirty and needs to be washed.
