So a few months ago I was wearing these jeans and out of nowhere the button popped off. It broke right in half — there was nothing to be done. It was about two minutes before I ate lunch too, so that wasn’t a good sign. If a button breaks off your pants after lunch, that’s one thing. But before? Yikes.
I blame a faulty button, not the grilled cheese that was coming my way. My sweet mom sewed a new button on for me so that I could wear them again. Cross your fingers for me at lunch time today, ok?

This post is too funny. I have the same pants, I'll let you know if my button ever becomes faulty so you can feel better about the grilled cheese. 🙂

Lovin' this loook. Of course, I'm always a sucker for leopard print!
I like your outfit!! it's a nice convention!!
love the top here! so cute. 🙂 you managed to make a leopard print focus outfit look totally classy.

Cute outfit girlie. I tried on the same pair of jeans at Target a couple of weeks ago and hated how it looked on me. 🙁 But they're so cute and I love them on you. Love that you styled it with hot pink. Super cute!

I love those pants with that pink shirt! so cute!
That's the price we pay for buying the Target $19 version and not the $200 pair. I'd say a new button is worth it for the savings. 🙂
love the colors!!!!
Great necklace and bag! You look so chic 🙂

Adorbs. I wish I can tuck in my shirt like you do. Tried it, didn't work. I love your nail polish too 🙂
LOVE the little redesign of your site! Really really cute!!
Hahaha…fingers crossed!
Awesome pants! I love leopard print! I'm also loving your hair straight. I mean, it always looks great, but the straight and sleek is extra fierce!!

Loving the new blog format my dear!
Cuuuute pants! And I love the redesign. The blog looks gorgeous!
I have been going back and forth about buying those pants and you just sealed my love for them. I think I must have…

Haha I know. That's what I told myself too. You get what you pay for, always. 🙂
Well to be honest they are kind of a funky fit. They sit so low on my hips, I'm not used to it. But ya know — $20 jeans. I can't complain much 🙂
Don't you just love it when a button pops up? Really good for the ego.

always blame it on the button, always! 🙂
Aw, hehe so funny with the button – I've so been there… sadly, mine happened after lunch! 😉 Love this beautiful combo Kendi and I'm so inspired by your recent post "pants and feelings" you expressed the challenges of blogging so perfectly, and I loved your honesty!! Big hugs! V
PS – Love the blog tweaks too, gorgeous!!
LOL! So funny
What would we do without moms? You look great!

I just saw these pants at Target today! You can really pull them off 🙂

That is too funny. One day I was at a science museum with my hubby when suddenly TWO buttons, not just one, simultaneously popped off of my blouse out of nowhere. It was bizarre. We had to go to the gift shop and buy a T-shirt because it was a bit too much cleavage to be classy.
LOL I hate when stuff happens to my clothes, on a good note they look like nothing ever happened.

Oh dear! Well good luck this time around! I never would have guessed looking at these that the button wasn't the original, either. Yay for mom to the rescue!

Haha! I wouldn't read into it too much. Sounds like a faulty button. I'm glad she was able to repair them for you. They're very fun!

Love your blog, I am a new fan and follower! xox, Cari
I really like your bright top with these printed pants. I also just
noticed the new site design – it looks amazing! Love the new banner and
the buttons on the left hand side. It all looks very fresh and clean 🙂
Have the same pants, LOVE them. My co-workers on the other hand think I'm strange and make sill jokes when I wear them. Not my fault they have no fashion sense.
Love these pants & the pink shirt!!!
those pants are so cool!

I love those jeans and pink is your color!
So, did you change your blog's appearance or am I a little crazy? Whether you did or didn't, I like! The simplicity is refreshing and makes it very easy to navigate.
I love this necklace so much. And the hot pink top with these pants looks killer!

Love the pants, very bold but understated in the grey. I like it. -Heidi http://fabricandfrosting.blogspot.no/
Love how you paired those jeans with hot pink. So fabulous!
Keep calm and carry lipstick.
I have the same jeans and I love them but boy were they cheaply made! I wouldn't blame lunch so much as faulty manufacturing
I can't quite tell for sure from the photos, but it looks like your mom put in a button instead of a rivet. You probably already know this, but most jeans close with a rivet, which is actually stabbed through the fabric rather than sewn on and so is much sturdier than a button. You can get kits to replace them at a fabric store. I know this because the rivet popped out of one of my pairs of jeans (thrifted, so I'm blaming the previous owner ;-P). Anyway, if the button doesn't hold try replacing it with a rivet. It would be a shame not to be able to wear pants that look so cute on you!
I have those same jeans in a different color, but I just can't pull them off like you can! Aren't moms that sew the best? I'm trying to teach myself. I just got my first sewing machine and it took me two hours to thread the damn thing. Slowly but surely. 😉
Those are so flipping cute! Need to get me some cute jeans like that!
xo Heather http://ahopelessnotebook.blogspot.com/
I know you didn't know it but you did this post for me. Just yesterday I was going through the belk catalogue and ran across some leopard skinnies similar to these. I said aloud "can a 28 year old wear leopard skinny jeans?" I suppose if Kendi can then I can :). P.s not sure your age but I figure it's some where close to mine.
I have those jeans and wore them to death when I first got them. It's too hot to wear them now, but I love how you paired them with the pink!
Mom's are the best! lol. Love the pink top with the jeans.

Love the pink top with the grey leopard print jeans! 🙂 I have a similar pair from kmart and love pairing them with pink!

I'm going to shop at J.Crew this afternoon to get that amazing pink shirt!

I absolutely love those jeans, but they were absolutely terrible on me. The bottoms of every pair I tried were toothpick thin and I looked like a bloated leopard ice cream cone. Just wasn't meant to be I guess. I live vicariously through you. No pressure.
Love the jeans!

I love those jeans with the pink top! I have that exact top so now I'm wishing I would have scooped up the jeans when I saw them at Target. I'll have to be on the look out for something similar 🙂

On the last day of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale I was looking at some similar pants. They looked super fun but I didn't know how I would wear them. So I thought WWKS do? I came to your page and bam you are wearing the pants! It was meant.
