Sometimes I plan outfits by the amount of sleep I get the night before. Last night was a toss and turn kind of a night so I’m still kind of sleepy. (You know, it’s one of those days that you’ll be sleepy all day until 10 pm when you want to go to sleep again and can’t.) For some reason, when I’m sleepy bright colors are what I’m drawn to — probably because it’s the only thing my half closed eyes can see. I’m just proud of myself for finding something that matched putting my shirt on correctly.
One caveat for yellow jeans: I can not convince people I’m older than 16 when I wear them and they are extremely offensive to older gentlemen. Case in point: an old man called me “young lady” the other day in the shop and not just your general ‘oh you are younger than me young lady’, but more like ‘why are you not in school young lady.’ And then… he dissed my shoes. You can comment on my age any day of the week, but you leave my shoes out of this, sir. I’ve never been in a fist fight before, but I am not above it.
PS: On the sock bun note, if you aren’t sure what this is or how to do it, here is my favorite tutorial from The Other Emily.
