Here are my outfits from the week which means — I’m halfway there. My husband bought me a cute little hat from Target for being halfway done with my project and probably to say thank you for not spending his whole paycheck this time around.
Guess what? I walked into Zara and Madewell today and walked out empty-handed and completely unsatisfied. Why would I put myself in this situation, you ask? Because my husband was pre-occupied with iPads at the moment and had let loose on my leash and I wandered off. I did however spend $300 in imaginary money and bought a size smaller in my imaginary clothes. Then everyone applauded me as I rode off into the clouds on a unicorn waving goodbye to them while iPads were raining from the sky.
On that note, I better go drug test myself and get ready for bed. How was everyone’s weekend?

You seriously crack me up everyday. I always look forward to your blog posts. xD
When I'm short on money, I fantasy shop as well. I put all the things I want in my shopping basket online and then just click out of the website and think "one day". *sigh*
I think your husband purchasing things FOR you is a loophole you should've jumped through day one! 🙂 I just walked out of Zara w/nothing, too. The more I think about being careful with money, the more picky I become about clothes fitting me perfectly.
I fantasy shop almost everyday online. It is the best. I have yet to actually buy anything! The malls are my weakness… and garage sales.
I agree with Little Ocean Annie, I am way more picky now that I am on a strict budget, in years gone by I would just buy whatever fits now I only buy something that makes me, as Oprah would say, feel alive
Anthro's "wishlist" maker is my fantasy shopping trip. If one day some well-meaning person logged into my account and accidentally clicked "check out," they would pass out from the bajillion dollar total, I'm sure.
hahaha you make me laugh. Well done on not buying anything though, that must have been a tough situation for you.
I always used to see unicorns in Zara, too, right after I fantasized about being able to get their pants up over my ass….
I can't wait to see your cute little half-way reward!
Thanks for making my Monday morning a little happier! I don't think it's possible for me to read one of your entries without at least cracking a smile. Side note: adorable outfits.

I gotta say that I am LUVIN' what you are doing with this remix! Fantastic job.
You are totally powering through this. Rock on you beautiful girl!
OK, that post made me snort. In a dainty, ladylike way of course.
Stay strong! You're doing great! 🙂
I love your sense of humor! I fantasy shop on ebay all the time by "watching" an item that I'm loving ~ and wishfully hoping just before the items are about to expire they are still listed for 99 cents and I grab them all! Lol! All the outfits looked great this week!
I fantasy show all the time! I a big shoe girl so I attack them first! Your post are very funny! Also, Congrats on ur half way milestone!
I love fake shopping! I do it all the time–both in stores and online. In fact, I find it's less dangerous (and more fun) to go in the fancy places I really can't afford rather than tempt fate by going to H&M or Target, where I can justify spending money (oh, it's just $30…–those all add up real fast!).
Good luck with finishing your mission!
Most of the blogs I look at I just scroll to look at pictures, but I read your blog and it makes me laugh everyday! I have the same problem with shopping..except my issue is that I love thrift stores and justify my purchases saying that they are cheap…haha!
ps: You're beautiful!
Awww – when I'm broke I hate to even SEE cute clothes that I might want, much less even enter a retail establishment. It makes my mind go crazy trying to think up ways to get money to buy stuff 🙂
sounds like exactly what happened with my fiance and i. except he was going to look at the new macbooks and i was running with open arms to h&m. such is life!
