So Many Stripes

I would like to tell you that my last three purchases were not stripes but that would be a lie. It’s not even worth hiding the obsession I have. Striped dress, striped tee, striped jacket. It’s not going to stop ever. I’ve accepted that I am a stripe hoarder and I’ve just carved out a nice little place in my closet were all the stripes live together in their little striped village of happiness. When I don’t know what to wear, I just mosey over to that little place of striped happiness in my closet and pick a stripe out. Some people find their zen in yoga, I find it in stripes.

Yesterday the choice was this striped dress that I’ve been wearing on and off during the spring like days this past month. It’s so soft I feel like I’m getting away with pajamas all day. In fact I had to talk myself out of sleeping in it last night. Like a responsible adult, I put my finest pajamas on (an old t-shirt) and threw this dress on the floor. Responsible is my middle name.

Just a few notes of interest here — my dress is $58 and has the cutest flutter sleeves. (You can kind of see in the photos were I took my jacket off above but you can really see on the model!) And this denim jacket is exactly what I was looking for spring. An updated jacket that’s the right amount of oversized which means it’s just at teeny tiny bit oversized but still keeps its shape. This look is actually hard to find with a denim jacket, but this one fits the bill for under $100. See? I told you those were some notes of interest to stick around for. 😉
