Little White Dress

Story time: Around this time of year (April – June) people come into the shop and ask for dresses to wear to weddings. As guests. This is always the detail I forget to pay attention to. So I start picking out and styling all the white things we have. And it never fails — they look me deep in the eye and say that those things won’t work. I’m confused because these dresses or outfits are great and then they kindly explain to me — ‘I can’t wear white to a wedding that’s not mine.’ 
Oh. Right. That minor detail. 
So since 99% of all weddings are out of the picture, I do love a white dress in the spring and summer.  Just maybe don’t wear it to a wedding that’s not yours. Or do it and see what happens? Just don’t say that I told you to do that. I wash my hands clean of this conversation.

  1. That dress is SO good though. Everytime I’m looking for a dress to wear to a wedding, I always fall in love with a white one with gorgeous details and think “can’t someone get me some fabric dye??” because they never have it in another color!

  12. This is a great dress for going to your own bridal shower 🙂 I have one just like it but the top is strappy instead of sleeves. Other than that, it’s the dress’ identical twin.

  19. It makes sense that white would feel like a great dress to wear to a wedding…I’ve actually had to check myself before when mentally planning my attire as a guest to a wedding.
    I’m particularly loving the pink heels tho – they look not too tall and not too pointy. They are baby bear shoes: just right. 😉

    1. Good! I can sit in it comfortably and bend over without showing anything which is the true test 🙂 It’s a comfortable dress for being so pretty. 🙂 I also wear a camisole underneath because the back is exposed and it looked fine. More than you wanted to know I’m sure haha
