I’m on auto-pilot this week as we finish up things at bloom and when things get crazy around here  the easiest outfit I can wear and still look put together is the most basic of all outfits: top, bottom, shoes. (An even simpler outfit? Dress, shoes. That’s tomorrow.)

This outfit takes it a bit above basic since its not just any top, it’s a bright floral printed top that makes me look happy and not like I was losing all of my marbles this morning trying to find my keys, shoes, purse and misplaced sanity. Floral prints are not just for spring, everyone — they are also for fooling people into thinking you wash and iron your clothes and that your house always looks Martha Stewart editorial ready. Which mine does, of course. Martha likes dirty dishes and random piles of clothes in strange rooms, right? Then yeah, I’m totally ready for my editorial. 
I have to say though that probably my most go-to outfit of all is a striped shirt and skinny jeans. But sometimes you just got to mix it up, even your go-to’s.  What is your go-to outfit when life gets crazy? (And yes, pajamas totally count.)

  5. So glad I’m not the only one who has random piles of clothes throughout the house! My go-to outfit is always jeans and a Tee of some sort, and Converse. I am LOVING those sandals though! They could be my new go-to.

  13. Such a sweet look, girl. My go-to outfit for life’s craziness? Probably the same thing I was wearing the day before life got crazy….changing sometimes takes waaay too much time. 😉 Hope you find some moments to relax with a pint of ice cream. 🙂

  17. when stuff gets cray, i tend to revert to denim on denim with a pop of color flat. it’s so easy and comfy, but it looks like i thought about it for more than six seconds.

  53. Tee and skinny cords are my “look, I got out of bed, what else do you want from me” outfit. Sometimes I’ll even throw on a cardi. I don’t look nearly as put together as you do here, though. 🙂

  56. Wow… I guess I wasn’t the only one who missed that post. I can’t believe how this part of your journey ended and I’m sure it’s so hard, but your positive view on the situation is inspiring. It really, really sucks that you’ve been handed a situation you couldn’t avoid, but I’m sure this will be the start of another great chapter.

    Oh, and great summer outfit. Florals for the win!! <3

  99. This outfit is fab! I’ve never seen a Hawaiian shirt look so chic! Haha! Because I live in Florida, my go-to outfit is usually a graphic tee or tank and jeans. I throw a kimono over the outfit when it gets a little chilly.
