Peony & Poppy

I’m of course a fan of neutrals and dark colors, especially when winter is just drab as it can be but bright colors are where my happiness lies. How can you not be happy in bright reds and pinks? It’s impossible, trust me. Side note: I don’t know if peonies are even this shade of pink, in fact I just took an uneducated guess in naming this post. Yeah, that’s right I didn’t even google it. Living on the edge over here.

Is it spring yet where you are? It’s half and half here in Texas. We take two steps towards warmer weather and a step back every single week. So I’m just rolling with it. Sweater one day, short sleeves the next. It could be worse — it could be January again. Let’s all remember that.

  4. It's *almost* warm enough for short sleeves today in Chicago…but I think it is still going to be a while before it is really spring. So your warm-ish weather outfits/photos are extra inspirational 🙂

  18. Oh my gosh, I LOVE that color combo! just bought some pants in the poppy color (pretty daring, for me anyway) and have been thinking about wearing them with light pink. You look great! Spring has *finally* arrived in Virginia, and I am over the moon about it.

  19. So pretty! I am afraid of color and always stick with neutrals but I am trying to incorporate some into my wardrobe this year. I did buy a mint colored cardigan yesterday, baby steps 🙂

  25. It's sunny and 75 (okay, 74) here in Kansas City and I'm loving it! However, weather around these parts likes to turn at the drop of a hat, so we will see if it keeps up! Love the bright colors 🙂
