If you count them up, there are only 29 items. I’m waiting on someone to come do our laundry for that 30th item. Mom? You hear me? I need you to come do my laundry. The final item is counting on you.
Here is the breakdown:
7 tops5 skirts4 bottoms2 dresses5 jackets/cardigans4 pairs of shoes2 pairs of boots
30 outfits, 30 days. Let’s remix.

Took my first pictures yesterday. Holy Awkward! I'm trying to resist the pigeon toe but it's only a matter of time, only a matter of time…

You're really making me wish I picked up those red cords from Gap the other day while I still had the chance 🙂 Such an eyecatcher!
I really wanted to participate in this one, but as of right now, I am required to wear a lovely ensemble of unforgiving khaki pants and an unflattering green polo to work every day. But I interviewed for a promotion, which, if given the job, will allow me to chuck the khakis and start looking fabulous. Maybe next time?
I can't wait to follow along, Kendi!
oh dear- jackets count in that 30? I have to tweak a bit, as my 30 didn't include a few pieces of outerwear 🙁
jess, i'm just guessing but i think it totally depends on if your jackets are outerwear and only serving for that function. of course, if you wear it inside as part of the outfit, it counts 🙂
I can't wait to see what you come up with! so excited:) good luck!

So excited to see what you come up with! Good luck (not that you need it)

I am sooo excited for this. It's such good inspiration for someone like me who doesn't have many clothes (a crime, I know!). I need to get creative with my wardrobe.
The way you cut everything out makes it look so professional and not to mention, awesome. Can't wait to see the outfits!
Jess — Kelsey is so right. If you aren't remixing your outerwear, then don't worry about it. I don't have tons of sweaters or long sleeved things, so I included them as layering. If you are simply going to pop on a jacket and go, don't worry about including it! I'm sure your picks are JUST fine.
I promise there will be no harsh punishment for bending a rule 🙂
oh kendi! first off you're making me wish i had a good/new camera! second, you're choices are excellent. I can definitely see how they will all fit together seamlessly into some lovely outfits!
I'm concerned about 2 or 3 of the pieces i've chosen. I'm worried that they might not actually get used but once (unless i repeat an outfit – which i guess is ok – is it?) or not at all.
making my choices has already made me realize what i need and what i need to "toss".
as for the jacket conundrum, i left actual jackets off of my list because I live in the Bay Area and its so unpredictable what the weather will be like. I need lots of layers all the time and if i left jackets (and hoodies) on the list then my entire wardrobe would consist of jackets and hoodies. I consider them outerwear and so left them off. I did however include a cropped black jacket because it is not really outerwear but usually a piece of the outfit.
very exciting…let's do this!
What great pieces! Again, I'm terribly excited to be participating in this. I'm so glad I found your blog!
Warmly,
Elizabeth
Great picks! I just posted mine!
I want your red pants!
I'm very excited for this challenge! It forced me to really think about what I have in my wardrobe. 🙂
I can't wait to see how you remix the black shiny skirt!
what a great list! im loving all your shoe choices. excited to see what you come up with. 🙂
LOVE those red pants! can't wait to see them mixed and matched!

Nice picks! There should be some fun outfits with the various mixes of colors and texture from the items you picked.
About breaking the rules…I didn't realize that EVERYONE was starting Monday, I totally started yesterday. Still haven't shopped and I'm sticking to my 30…however, I'm realizing it's going to be harder than I thought…I think I picked too many sweaters, but it's freezing in PA, so I need them. Ok, ending my editorial NOW.
Peace,
Monique

Awesome pieces! I don't think you'll have any problems matching together fun outfits. Cant wait to see them!
xx
nice photoshopping! I was going to take the time to delete the background out of my photos but found others things to do with my Sunday… (not productive things mind you) … hmmm I should have photoshopped!
Kendi, I'll be glad to do some laundry for you baby, with one caveat. You have to mail it to me!
It will be a long distance laundry service and well worth your trouble because I iron and fold nicely too.
Love the items for the remix, especially the leather skirt and gray dress from Loft. If only we lived next door and could barter laundry service for fashion tips. Think about it!
Love,
Mom
Good picks! I can't wait to see what you come up with…I'm sure it will be inspiring, as always 🙂
Great picks! Love the purple skirt!
Can't wait to start tomorrow! =)
what an awesome idea! i'm especially diggin' the lace up wedge bootie and the oxford lace up bootie – where did you find those??
Great pics – actually I've had a great time looking at a lot of the remixers' posted choices. Makes me just sad looking at mine 🙂
Here's to putting myself back together for the next 30!!
I love your picks! Is it bad that it makes me want to go shopping to buy some different picks for mine? I'm already having shopping withdrawal, just thinking of not doing it for 30 days.
Btw, I noticed some people included camis and such in their picks…but I kind of figured those were more like accessories…mine don't show most of the time anyway, so why include them?
I'm so pumped to check out everyone's outfits, go us for being willing to get creative with our clothes, YAY!
already having serious remixer envy from your awesome picks 🙂 your things are photographed SO beautifully and i love the color palette.
you are, as always, an inspiration.
This is going to be fun! I love the colors and patterns you have going on!
fantastic pics! i posted mine yesterday but my photos don't look nearly as nice as yours – i was rushing to get out the door and did a pretty crap job! i made peter take my outfit photos this week and they just look so horribly awkward – hopefully i get less stiff/uncomfortable looking as we get into the remix 🙂
I love your colors and patterns! This is going to be fun!
I'm up and running! Can't wait!!!

yay! I'm so excited… all of your items look great (hello photoshop pro!) and like they will be very fun to mix and match. I'm excited you included the lace skirt, because I mentioned I have one, but haven't worn it yet. I feel like it's Christmas Eve or something, can't wait to see everyone start posting their outfits!
I'm remixing the SAME ikat dress (yay Target for Tucker!). Can't wait to see what you do w/ its awesomeness. 🙂
Ah I'm so excited to start the 30 days tomorrow!
I can't wait to see what you mix up this time!
Just Better Together
ack! i feel so safe with my choices. you are a veteran at this!!! excited to see your remixes 🙂
I was relieved to see just two dresses. I had been worrying that I hadn't included enough of those. And, I have red pants envy!
I love your grey dress and quite frankly, your shoes are enviable. I love them all! Can't wait to see what you come up with!
HAHAHAHAHA, your mom.
Awesome choices Kendi! Your such a pro!Well, this being my first time, I played it very safe.

these styles on your post are totally my favorite, xoxo
Sooo looking forward to this! You have some great picks- I'm loving your shoes 🙂
If that sweater on the top right is from F21, I have the same one in light blue and it is SO versatile, cozy and soft! Good call, girl. Looking forward to seeing your remixes!
We have the same Tucker for Target dress on our 30×30! Can't wait to see how you style yours.
This is such a success Kendy! Congrats! This will be my very first time as a Remixer and my Fiance as much as I is way excited (since this will save us and particularly him lost of $$$$!) I can't wait for the whole month to play with the chosen babies (outfits) …
Lots of xoxo
Cati
Good choices! Can't wait to see how you remix them 😉
I added the badge and just posted my 30 just now!

I have the same black leather skirt in my 30! I'll be posting all my items by the end of the night. Can't wait to start remixing!
Just posted my 30 for 30 items! I am LOVING your selection, especially the wedge oxfords and leather skirt…I had a feeling your Tucker dress would be one of the items! haha
Can't wait to start remixing!
http://www.candidclassic.blogspot.com
Yay! I'm super excited to start this remix! I lllovve your red suede heels.
Ok, 30 for 30 maternity wear posted. Wish me luck that I fit in these during my 8th month 🙂
Oh, man. Seeing your selections is giving me some major envy. Are we SURE we have to limit this business to 30 items? Yes? Okay, fair enough. 🙂
I'm looking forward to seeing how you rock out this challenge and learning a thing or two from the remixing master (mistress? But that sounds like you're a man's luvah in the Victorian era). Anyway, I'm ready to get some skillz. Can't wait!
Love your picks. Especially those red pants. Good luck on that item#30.
Posting maternity mix up at http://smallandpretty.tumblr.com/
The expert weighs in, can't wait to be guided through this remixing journey 🙂
Oh, I'm so excited to see the outfits you come up with! Especially with that Tucker for Target dress because I just bought it! I need some inspiration 🙂
I can't tell you how excited I am to do this (I even started remixing and posting early!) and see what everyone comes up with. Your selection looks lovely, of course. Hope the 30th piece makes it safely to your hands – what is it, what is it?
Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Good choices! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I decided to do this last minute, although I'm doing it a little backward since I'm going back to work blind and don't know what I'll need … starting today though as required – can you add me to the list? Then I'll really buckle down and attempt!!
I love this idea!! I know I missed the November 5th deadline, but I may just be inspired to do the 30 for 30 challenge regardless! xo
No flats? You are a hardcore brave woman. I really wanted to do 30 for 30 but, 1) I'm a chicken. 2) I'm in the midst of an apartment fiasco so no time to even try to think about what I wear. Poop.
I found your blog through one of my friend's links, and, let me say, it's refreshing to see someone work with a regular budget. And buy at stores that I regularly buy at. I can relate to you!
Mom — THANKS! Turns out doing it by myself is cheaper.
Alessandra — It's a sweater. Nothing fancy 😉
ほし — I consider boots as flats! Is that crazy? Probably. I had a pair in there but I just couldn't commit. I am a heel addict, sad but true.
SO excited when do you the 30 for 30 challenge. I'm too much of a scaredy cat to try it myself!
I love this idea…….. so cute and or picks are wonderful….

Your call out to your mother for laundry service really made me laugh out loud! Then I read her comment on your blog… too funny.
I'm excited to see how the remix goes. I love the pair of boots on the right… I want to find a pair for myself that are just like those. 🙂
You may have inspired me to do something crazy!
After seven months of living out of a suitcase, I've become really frustrated with my wardrobe because I didn't buy things that automatically went together. Combine that frustration with your inspiration, and I got this: http://52weekwardrobe.wordpress.com/
Love it. No surprise, but you have a way better selection than me – I am excited to see what you come up with!
kendi- where did the gray sweatery jacket thing come from?
Brittany — My mom got it for me from Anthro a year or so ago. I lovvvvveee it.
great items! I hope I can do the next 30 for 30!!

I love this idea. I am going to try this starting December 1st. Thanks for a great idea.
I came here via Design for Mankind. This is such a fun project! I loved browsing through all your outfits. Makes me wonder if I could pull it off…
