My friends — I think I found a jean I really like. I’ve been on a journey to find my favorite pair of jeans and I say that I like them with the most suspicion because I have fallen prey to thinking I like a jean in the first few wears and then end up hating it because of how it wears over time. But these? These remind me of skinny jeans up top but with a little bitty flare leg. They are that stretchy fabric we millennials love and they are SO flattering, as well as comfortable. This is the bootcut jean from J.Crew and I highly recommend. If you like skinny jeans of yore, this is a fun pair that works with the current non-skinny jean trends right now.
I am in the 29 regular length and the length is plenty long! I even paired them with a kitten heel bootie. I will say for shoes, I think heels or a heeled bootie will work best with this look. I find these jeans to be in a more tailored category more than a casual, so a heel will work best. (Will try a low profile sneaker with them though, just to test it out!) There are a few rinses in this denim but I love this darker denim for spring. As you can see it pairs well with a bold color, plus I find dark denim makes colors pop the best and this is exactly how I wanted to style this pair of jeans.

Let’s talk this top! I saw this green in the store and immediately bolted over to it. I was pleased to see that it had longer sleeves and had a more stretchier fabric to it, so the fit was perfect. It’s that stretchy / structured woven knit, that can cling so keep that in mind but I sized up to a large and no clinging necessary. I love how it looks vintage but the cut is very modern, very right now. There is also a matching mini skirt which a past version of me would have loved! But the current model prefers denim and leggings exclusively, so I just went with the top. You can find it from Zara under $50!
