A Very Wearable Sweater Dress

Tis the season for sweater dresses and boy have I found a few good ones this season. (Talking about this one from Nordstrom here!) This one is a bit different than the long sleeve mini dress — in fact, it’s a sleeveless maxi so it’s kind of the opposite of the last one I shared. But boy is it cozy. That’s why I love sweater dresses and I’m actually surprised more people don’t talk about this. A sweater dress is literally just a warm blanket that is socially acceptable to wear all day long. In fact, I even get compliments when I wear my blanket — excuse me, sweater dress. Complimented and comfortable? The ultimate winter goal.

This dress is cashmere from Quince so it’s surprisingly affordable. (Sits at about $110!) I am in the large of the dress. It fits perfectly for a size 8, with some wiggle room as well. The knit is lightweight, but still warm. The grey isn’t sheer but if you want more coverage go with the black or the navy. Just my two cents, if I were to buy it again I’d go with black. Speaking of Quince, this leather jacket is from there as well!  I don’t think Quince is having any Black Friday sales (I could be wrong — I’ll keep an eye out for it!) but they do have really amazing prices regardless. Under $200 for a leather jacket is incredible. I sized up because the reviews suggested so and I typically do anyways with leather pieces but this one is a bit generous. I am in the large and probably would have been okay with a medium. So if you are in between sizes, perhaps go up a size but overall I’d say it fits true to size. Find it here!
