Fair Isle and Velvet Pants

My sweater is on sale! And it’s a new arrival so that’s nice. This is actually my favorite time to shop J.Crew, I find their holiday sales to be the best, almost criminal. Like I feel like I have to look over my shoulder when I’m ordering, it feels wrong. So I am in the medium of the sweater and it fits perfectly true to size. It’s relaxed, boxy fit with a slightly more cropped length but I wouldn’t say it’s cropped. Just shorter than what we are all used to lately.  It’s also very warm and I didn’t notice too much of an itch factor, but this may be one of those that I layer a tee under just in case. Also I just have to recommend this pair of pants. It’s the same cut as their wide leg jeans but with sailor pockets and in this deep navy velvet — they are a luxury. Also the fit is spot on — they’re stretchy so not a super thick velvet fabric and they’re super comfortable. In like a I forgot I was wearing nice pants kind of a way. I am in the 29, true to size but with a bit of extra wiggle room in here. Find them in many colors here! Oh and they’re also on sale today! Perfect for the holidays.

Side note — I got these boots back in 2021 at an anniversary sale and I really didn’t start appreciating them until last year. I am obsessed with them and I’m so glad my 2021 bank account bought them and not this year. I really did my future self a favor. I’ve been loving going into my closet and finding the pieces I truly love and will wear over and over. (Small plug for those items that I can’t or won’t I’m selling! A new upload coming in December!) All that to say I was shocked that they brought them back in stock. They’re Tory Burch so they are more expensive, even on sale right now, but if you’re looking for a very high quality boot that will last and last this is a nice pair! I’ve found this option that is similar and well under the Tory Burch price tag.
