Denim is truly my everyday go-to piece and has been for years. With all of the denim trends recently, it’s been hard to keep up with all of the changing styles, not only in the fashion world but what I personally like for myself as well. I’ve realized this year that I DO like a wide leg jean (!!) but I still prefer a tapered / mom jean as well. If I can’t have skinny jeans, I’ll settle for a straight or tapered leg. The Classic: 501 Original Fit
Here is the thing: the 501s always fit. 501s are my favorite style to go to because a) they’re timeless and b) they always fit. I’ve had my fair share of many variations of the 501 but this one is the original fit — a slightly more straight leg, length hitting right at the top of the shoe and the most perfect fit in the hips / waist. For an everyday denim, this is the one. If I had to have just one pair, it would be this one because of just how versatile — and comfortable — it is. PS: I’m a 30×31 in the 501 jeans. I find this style to run the most true to my denim size across the board.

The Current: XL Chino Cords
Classic denim is will never go out of style, but I also love to stay current with a few new denim trends. One of these trends I’ve recently embraced are the wide leg or baggy jeans. It’s taken me a second but I figured out the secret — it’s the fit. If you find a pair that fits tighter in the waist with a length that hits right at the top of your shoe, then you’ve found it. And I’ve found it in this pair of XL Straight chinos from Levis!
For fall  and winter,  I love an ivory / cream hued denim and this one is even more perfect because it’s a cord. This pair is a lightweight corduroy too, super nice to wear as it’s lightweight and comfortable. (You can find them here.)
