It has been a minute since I’ve peeked into Anthro and boy, am I glad I did. I found some really nice pieces for that spring to fall transition time we are about to be in! I don’t know about you but it becomes a frustrating time of getting dressed. Those in between seasons like summer to fall and then winter to spring, I look forward to the change but not the timeline. Here are a 8 pieces I found that I am looking forward to styling for summer to fall!
Carrie Bradshaw-inspired Polka Dots
I have no idea where or why I woudl wear this but I love it. It’s giving Carrie (Bradshaw not gym scene) in the best way. I am in the medium and it’s a wee bit short, but it fits overall well. I would suggest a size up for tall girls just for the lenght. It is fully lined and the fabric is a structured chiffon / satin feel. Once it steamed out it held its shape gorgeously. Like the fabric is slightly thicker, if that makes sense.
I am in the medium, fits true but consider the length!
Also — not Anthro related but these are the flats from the Nsale that I absolutely love and recommend. One more week of the sale to snag these! Fit is TTS, I’m in the 10. Find them here!
Band Tee + Wide Leg Trousers
I have been having trouble finding trousers that fit a rounder waistline but then I found these. This pair actually runs very generous, so this is the large and I need the medium and probably with room. The back of the waistband is elastic, so it gives even more stretch and comfort. I HIGHLY recommend this pair of trousers if you struggle with finding a trouser that fits a rounder waist. Size down if in between sizes!
One note – they are very longer. Now I am in flats but as you can see here they are full length. I am 5’9″ and mostly legs (and personality *winks*) for reference.
I love a band tee, a retro graphic tee, a branded tee. I just love a graphic tee or a sweatshirt. I loved this one because who doesn’t love Bowie but also I loved how simplistic the design is and how versatile it can be. Sometimes with graphic tees if they’re too color specific it can be hard to pair but this one has the right amount of pop and the off white lends to a more elevated look. I am in the large, it runs big honestly. And if you haven’t tried this brand before, their tees are SOOOO soft and with proper care (AKA no dryer) they’ll last forever like this.
Long-sleeve Lace Blouse
THIS BLOUSE IS MY EVERYTHING. I slashed open the packaging when I saw this baby girl and wore it immediately. It’s a gorgeous top! I am in the large and it’s the perfect size. It’s slightly looser in the sleeves but as far as the length, I like the large because it gives me a bit more room for boobs. This top has a keyhole closure at the neck, but it was pretty easy for me to do myself. Absolutely recommend if you love a victorian ghost woman vibe for late summer.
PS: throughout the try on I’m wearing my tried and true Agolde Parker shorts. I’ve linked two options here, both are the same fit / cut but different hues. I have a few different sizes of Agoldes but I’m wearing a 31 in these here. Size up for a looser fit in the waist, but they do stretch with wear.
Knit Muscle Tee
So I didn’t actually mean to love everything in this try on. Usually when I do try ons the majority of the items I end up making judgements against and they go back. But this one is hitting a bit too different because I love it all. I LOVE this sweater top. Well — sweater adjacent It’s that tight stretchy knit, so sweater-ish. I am in the large and love this size. It’s plenty loose, so I would assume it’s true to size with room. It has great potential for this fall — I have lots of outfit ideas for this one! .

Oversized V-Neck Top
I really liked the color of this top and the fabric and the cut. BUT it’s too big so it’s going back. I should have known better than to go with a large but as I said I tend to err on the larger side. This top runs BIG. Size down if in between sizes or if you just want a smaller look. Otherwise, I love it! I’m wondering if the white or the tan would transition better into fall, but this blue is gorgeous IRL.

Loose Peplum Blouse
Okay I really liked this top, especially for an easy top to toss on with shorts or denim later. It’s a lightweight poly blend, soft fabric and flow However, I think a medium would fit better. I’m kind of in between sizes right now and I always err on the side of larger, but for this one it runs pretty boxy so a medium would be better!
Size down if in between sizes! Lots of color options too. It’s a nice option to carry into fall because it would look adorable with a kick flare denim, too.
Here you can see more of the detailing: the perforation on the seams, the texture along the vertical lines of the top and the little peplum top. I didn’t think I’d jump head first back into the peplum trend, but here I am. Never say never you know 😉
The Somerset Mini Dress
I’ve been thinking on this dress since spring and finally took the plunge! It was waiting for me in my cart since April lol. Good on Anthro for keeping carts for so long. Anyways, I am in the large and it fits my big ol boobs perfectly. However, it is a bit long for my preference, I wish it were like a half inch to an inch shorter, but that’s an easy fix on my end. Otherwise it fits well! I would say it runs pretty true to size, but size up for bigger boobs. Lots of colors / patterns as well!
