Cut It Out

We are in the dog days of summer, my friends. My brain tells me that summer is June / July only because here in Texas we always started school in early August. (Still true! Our kids start back in two weeks if you can believe.) But that’s obviously not true, we are still in summer for a few more months calendar wise and weather wise. It’s just that my brain says ‘oh! pack it up! school is here!’ And as someone who has been out of school for 17 years, you’d think I’d adhere to the normal life schedule and seasonal calendar set by the sun and the moon. But no — whatever happened to me in the 90s has me locked. Excuse me while I go eat my hot Lunchable at 11 am with a warm juice box.

All that to say, my brain is thinking in hues of fall even though it’s high summer. If you see me going into black, brown, grey…you’ll know why. This dress is a great example of that however, with the cut outs but in a darker hue. It’s actually perfect for right now. I found it via Amazon and the quality is there with this one. Fully lined, nice elastic around the waist / back and the arms. It’s a  bit of a snug fit around the rib cage (random) but other than that TTS fit. It isn’t as poofy as I was expecting too, as the listing online seems VERY big and poofy. This one is just the right amount of fluff without feeling silly.
