je t’aime

Ya’ll this post is so fun today. I got to get a sneak peak at the new collaboration from Bloomingdale’s in-house line, Aqua, with the award-winning interior designer, artist, and stylist Kerri Rosenthal. It is out NOW and let me tell you, it is the happiest thing I’ve ever seen. If you like smiling, then this collab is for you.  If you don’t know about the powerhouse that is Kerri Rosenthal, let me introduce you! Her philosophy? “We make people happy by making stuff that makes us happy.” From smiley faces, drippy hearts and all the colors in the rainbow, you can get a gist of her style by her pieces at Bloomingdales — all of her home and wearables are inspired directly by her art, so in a way it’s like wearing a piece of her art. Which come to think of it, I actually prefer wearing my heart on my cardigan rather than my heart on my sleeve.

I picked up this tweed jacket from the collaboration because I feel like it’s such a cute play on a classic piece — the ‘je t’ taime’ embroidered heart is the perfect quirky nod I like to have in my closet. Then I saw this striped cardigan...and I couldn’t decide. So I decided to grab both and layer away! You can find my jacket here — I sized up to a large but that is perfect for me. I am in the medium of the cardigan and it’s a great fit. I’d say overall Aqua at Bloomingdale’s runs true to size.

For my OG readers, this look would have been perfect with those poppy red heels I used to wear and have consequentially lost. (How does one lose a pair of shoes? I’ll never tell my secrets.) I’ve never been able to find a replacement that was quite like those but I still think about them. 🙂
