Halfway done!! I have to say, as the second time I’ve taken this challenge it’s much easier this round. One problem though — since I’m not shopping for clothes, my brain is now focusing on other things I can buy like books, dvd’s and housewares. I haven’t bought anything yet, but I have many shopping carts full all over the internet. This problem may be bigger than us all.
Remixer Round-Up Must Reads:
Melissa takes the cake on this week’s remix by turning her skirt inside out.
Hey Kristen — I’m kind of in love with that shirt too.
The pattern mixing of this outfit is so good, I might have to copy it.
Tania shows us how to faux-thropologie from an Old Navy skirt.
Gee may have figured out the secret of getting through the challenge alive.
Major props to Anthro Bakery’s co-workers for encouraging her on this challenge with daily reviews of her outfits.
Go read NOW– The New Focus.

I'm with you on the housewares thing. I keep looking for new furniture (which is a zillion times more expensive than clothing, whoops).
I love outfit number 12. Its my favorite outfit of you till date. Maybe because I know I will never wear animal prints in my life and you look lovely in it. 🙂
You've done a really great job with the remixing! I can't wait to try it along with you next time!
This was a great week for you. The all white is my favorite, but the animal print skirt was also molto fab!
Hey, one note on your links: you need to add an "h" in the front of the code for the The New Focus link. S'broken till then.
I adore outfit 11!
12 is definitely my favorite this week.

Thank you so much for inspiring me! We had a yard sale this last week and I looked at all the clothes in horror. It's so sad that we go out and buy all these clothes because we "can", not because we "need" to. I feel so better re-mixing then going out and buying more clothes.
Aw thanks for the compliment.
When this whole 30 for 30 is done i'll be writing an ode-to-Kendi. As sappy as it sounds this has actually been life changing.
I'll be sending you a gift in the mail. Hopefully there is only one Kendi in the American phone book 😉
kendi and followers- the blog post about body image i mentioned writing yesterday is up, if you're interested. i come on pretty strong, as i do in real life, but i want you all to know that everything from hanging on to little insecurities to outright body hate is damaging not only to you, but to others. all women should love their bodies and all women are going to have a hard time of it, but especially you women who are a part of the style blogging community, as positive as it can be, you are (probably) exposing yourselves to the fashion world aka wraith world more often and with a greater passion than the rest of us. and so i feel you folks are more vulnerable to the damage it can do even though i'm sure you're all very strong and beautiful. large amounts of exposure to that will break you down. it did me. anyway, here is the link:

you look amazingly different in each of these shots. it's the way i wish i could look but i'm afraid i look so similar day in and day out…i am so impressed! great outfits again!!
Can't decide if I love 11 or 12 more. Like trying to pick your favourite child.
I love 15 – really shows the range 30 items can cover. 12 is another good one. I'm not usually big on animal print but that skirt really suits you – and the denim shirt makes it especially delightful.
Thanks for the shout-out and for stopping by Button Jar! xo Lydia.
