Well, friends. We made it back from Vegas. It was a good trip, we bought cute things for the shop, I got to wear a jumpsuit, and I only lost $20 to the Sex and the City slot machine this time around. That’s like a lunch out, so I’m going say that technically I am a winner in Vegas terms. 

I’m not going to lie, it’s been hard to get back into the routine of things back home. Not because I miss the buffets and the slot machines (oh but I do), but just because I’m tired and haven’t been able to catch up on everything yet. Isn’t that the worst — coming back to your desk after you’ve been gone? Where is a good snow day when you need one, right? Forget snow day, where is a good vacation when you need one?

In other news, have you seen this? And now I want to be Jennifer Lawrence.

    I've been pretending Jennifer Lawrence is my other little sister/bff for a minute now.  Love her.
    And yes, returning to your regular work after attending a conference (or tradeshow, I guess, in your case) FOR WORK, is the worst.

  14. Bravo to you for being a business owner. I worked at a mom and pop shop for years, and it's seriously hard work. There's so much about the business that you can't just hand over to someone else, and it's success is your daily responsibility. You're a braver gal than I am, Kendi! 

    Love this outfit, as I love them all! The black top and heels makes the tribal pants a little more conservative. Cute!

  80. Hi Kendi! I've been following you for 2 months now and this is definitely my favorite outfit. Not that the others weren't good, just that this one fits beautifully in my life. I have 2 little ones and sparkly jewelry, light colors and pumps can't happen. I tried…. stains, broken necklaces, pulled earrings, scuffed heels, tripping, etc. I like that I could do this in different colors as well. Thank you for this post. (Just because I'm a mom, doesn't mean I want to wear mom jeans, caps, sneakers and t shirts-yuck!)
