This week at the shop is an office week for me. Now, while I’d like for you all to think that I play shopgirl all day, every day the truth is I don’t. The other side of owning a shop filled with pretty clothes is a desk filled with white paper blackened by numbers. Dirty words like taxes, accounts payable, bills take up most of my days on weeks last this one. Typically if I’m in the shop it either means it’s Saturday or I’m ignoring all of the paperwork on my desk. So that’s why I’ve been in casual mode lately (and also why I’m wearing fake glasses. They help, I promise.) There really is no reason to wear a dress when I’m filing papers and crunching numbers. This is my excuse any way.
Also, I don’t know when I decided to be so matchy lately but I can’t stop. If you can’t tell my glasses match my tee, spot on. Almost like it was planned. (It was.) I’m pretty sure matching everything I’m wearing is the first step to becoming my mother.

Im fixated on the last line….don't know weather that means your planning something….but as a mom, I have to say…Matchy can be the difference between presentable and sloppy…..moms are always rushing and "styling" isn't alotted much time….so pulling it together, matching shoes to cardy or t-shirt to glasses….or at times even reflecting what your kids are wearing (ughhh) can make you feel like you've made some effort…..Love the blazer and Jeans…personally my two favortie go to!
